Thomas Howard Frazier

Howard Frazier, 72, a 58 year East Wenatchee resident, passed away on Sunday, September 7th at Central Washington Hospital. He was born on March 23, 1942 at Sidney, Arkansas to the late Cleo Willard and Annie Mae (Thomas) Frazier. He was raised and received his early education at Sidney, Arkansas prior to his family moving to make their home permanently in East Wenatchee in the mid 1950's. Howard began his career in the fruit industry and worked all aspects including, picking, sorting, pruning and mowing. He met Jennie Lee Webb of Orondo and they were later married on September 24, 1961 in East Wenatchee. They made their home together in East Wenatchee. He went to work for the Auvil Fruit Company near Orondo where he later became one of their Truck Drivers. He remained working at Auvil Fruit Company until ill health required him to retire early. Howard greatly respected and appreciated Grady Auvil. Howard was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church in East Wenatchee. He enjoyed his time visiting people and especially his "coffee crowd". He was a simple and caring man with some of his biggest love and proudest moments shown while watching his grandsons playing sports and Seth racing at the Wenatchee Super Oval. A blessed miracle in his life was the birth of his great grandson that he never imagined meeting but enjoyed for four months. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kay Bailey. Howard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jennie Frazier, East Wenatchee; one son, Rob Frazier, East Wenatchee and his fiancé, Jane Rankin, Cashmere; two brothers and sister's-in-law, Willard & Barb Frazier and Travis &Sally Frazier all of East Wenatchee; two grandsons, Seth Frazier, Nick (Emily Browning) Frazier; great grandson, Braxton Jeffrey Frazier, all of East Wenatchee; numerous nieces and nephews and his loyal companion a brown lab mix named "Bruce". Throughout his medical difficulties Howard formed a special relationship with Dr. Murray and had a great admiration for the care he received, the family wishes to express their "Thanks" to him and his staff. A service of commemoration will be held at the graveside in Evergreen Memorial Park on Saturday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Loye Turner officiating.
