Nina Buhl

Nina Buhl, 70, of Manson, a former Malaga and CleElum resident, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Central Washington Hospital. She was born on April 20, 1946 at Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to the late Henry and Zelda (Ruminer) White. As a young girl of six years old, her family moved to Malaga. She attended Malaga Elementary School, Pioneer Jr. High School and Wenatchee High School. In 1964, her family moved to Manson and she attended her senior year there, graduating from the Manson High School with the class of 1965. She met Jon Hubbard and they were later married in Chelan in August of 1966. They made their home together in Manson. She later moved to Chelan, where she worked as a Waitress at the Sand and Surf Restaurant and later at the Campbell's Resort Restaurant. In the mid 1980's, she moved to Graham, Washington and worked at the Ranch House Restaurant. She moved to CleElum in 2000 and worked at the Cottage Restaurant. In 2011, she returned to make her home in Manson again. Nina enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and scrapbooking. She looked forward to her "Girls Getaways", the Casino Road Trips with her sisters. She is survived by her companion, Jon Hubbard, Manson; two daughters, Michelle Watson, Boise, ID and Wendy Hubbard, Manson; Her mother, Zelda Smith, Rochester, WA; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon & Linda White, Soap Lake, WA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patricia & Gene Hall, Lincoln City, OR, Colleen Adamek, Wenatchee, Helen & Rick Sharp, Rochester, WA; five grandchildren, Mandy Watson, Seattle, Robert "Bo" Watson III, Chelan, Mykenzie Cooper, Boise, ID, Elizabeth Witham, Dallas, OR, Danielle Russell, Temple, TX and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and Stepdad, Bill Haddock. A Commemoration service will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Chapel, 19 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee, with Chaplain Scott Langager officiating.
