Leah Jean Thompson

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Leah Thompson, who joined the Angels on January 15, 2024. Leah was born in 1945 and lived a full, vibrant life marked by her profound dedication to her family, with her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, and her devoted faith. Leah's spirit and love live on in her daughters, Cheri Wicklund, and Kari Thompson; grandsons Alan Wicklund and Sean Wicklund; sister, Sherry Cline; and nieces, Teresa Jenkins and BreAnn Colvin. She is predeceased by her father, Charles Thompson; her mother, Ruthie Rudd; her step-father, Alvin Rudd; sister, Boni Little; and brother, Kenleigh Thompson. Our Mother shared her amazing life with all who knew her with her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, and her unwavering support. Her unconditional love for her family and friends was a testament to her caring spirit. She was a beacon of positivity, and her infectious smile, her sense of humor and her creativity brought happiness to everyone around her. Among her many accomplishments, Leah was most proud of being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending quality time with her daughters, Cheri and Kari, and her grandchildren, Alan and Sean. Leah lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her homemade dishes were always the highlight of gatherings everywhere she went. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. She enjoyed singing and playing guitar and tambourine with her church groups. Leah was a kind and generous soul, always putting others needs before her own. She did missionary work in Romania and Mexico. She loved feeding the homeless and did prison outreach. She worked for the Seattle Police Department as a Parking Enforcement Officer for over 15 years, but her favorite job was kitchen manager for Camp Berachah children's camp. Mom understood the beauty in simple moments: those spent in the serenity of her garden or those spent surrounded by the love of her family. We carry Leah in our hearts and will always remember her as a woman of strength, joy, and boundless love. She will be deeply missed, but we find comfort in knowing her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched. Goodbye, dear Leah. You will always be forever loved and missed.
