Hazel Armenie Hill

Hill, 91, was taken home to be with her precious Lord and Savior, whom she loved so much, on July 20th 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Alonzo and Sally Gulley on December 7th, 1920 in Twin Creek, Arkansas. Hazel married her beloved husband James Hill on October 19th 1940 in Melbourne, Arkansas. Hazel had four daughters whom she adored. In 1963, Jim and Hazel moved with their daughters to the Wenatchee Valley where she was a homemaker, who enjoyed her family, gardening, quilting, sewing and collecting dolls. She cherished her time with each and every one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved telling her many friends about them all. Hazel Hill was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will forever be missed by all. She is survived by her daughters, Imogene (Jean) Sims (Toby) of East Wenatchee, Earlene Johnson (Riley) of East Wenatchee, Yvonne Hill of East Wenatchee and Althea Fife (Alan) of Ellensburg. She is also survived by a sister, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband James Hill, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Viewing will be held at Heritage Memorial Chapel in East Wenatchee on Thursday, July 26th from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, July 27th at King's Orchard Church of Christ in Wenatchee at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Hazel Hill's name.
