Beverly "Bev" Lee Klocke

Beverly Lee Klocke, 80, of Wenatchee, WA, and a former longtime Ellensburg, WA resident passed away Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at Central Washington Hospital. She was born July 28th, 1945, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Kenneth Levi and Norma (Skalla) Levi. Her early years were spent living in Kansas and Colorado while her dad was in the logging industry. She graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She moved to Ellensburg with her parents and younger siblings when she was 18. She met Henry (Heinie) Klocke a few years later, and they were married on May 21st, 1966. She worked for Pautzke Bait as their main capper for many years. She was a merchandiser for Gibson/American Greetings/Hallmark. She had a natural passion for caring for others and later earned her certification to become a caregiver, working for Dry Creek Assisted Living in Ellensburg. She was also a former member of St. Andrews Church in Ellensburg. They made their home in Ellensburg until 2009, when they moved to Wenatchee to be closer to their daughter and family. There she continued as a caregiver at Colonial Vista and was her husband’s caregiver until his passing in 2017. Bev was selfless, sassy, and stylish, with the warmest heart and wittiness. The joys of her life were spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She enjoyed taking trips with her daughter and son-in-law to Seattle where her granddaughter's lived. She also shared a special bond with her oldest granddaughter Ashley's boyfriend, Julian, where her playful banter side would shine through. She also enjoyed time with her daughter going for walks and their weekly Wednesday nights out with her daughter and son-in-law or going to their house for dinner. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Douglas and son-in-law, Todd Douglas of Wenatchee, her granddaughters: Ashley Douglas and boyfriend, Julian of Seattle, Michelle Douglas of Seattle, sister, Bonnie Jeske (Roger), and nephews: Karl and Kyle Jeske of Richland, sister, Betty (Scott) Waibel of New York, and nephews: Danny and Brett Taylor, all of her brother-in-law’s and their wife’s, who were like sisters; Tony and Edith Klocke, Merrill and Pat Klocke, Rosie Wedemeyer, Joe and Glee Klocke, and Denny and Teresa Klocke, many nieces, nephews and family in WA, CA, CO, IA, MO, & NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Heinie, son, Steven, sister, Barbara, and brother, Kenny, sister-in-law, Joann Stermer, brother-in-law, Arlan Wedemeyer, nephews, Mark Kastning and Landon Klocke. A Blessing with Rites and Prayer was performed by Father from Holy Apostles in East Wenatchee at Heritage Memorial Chapel. Thank you to all the staff during her care in ICU at Central Washington Hospital, especially Dr. Pierce, and grateful for the care from those on the 5th floor during her final hours.
