Patricia D. Deason

Patricia "Pat" or "Patty" (Wood) Deason, 81, a Wenatchee area resident for over 65 years, passed away at her home in Wenatchee on Thursday afternoon, February 17, 2011, following an extended illness. Pat was born on March 13, 1929, in Wenatchee to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Campbell) Wood. She was raised and attended school up on Wenatchee Heights. In the middle 1940's, she moved to make her home in Wenatchee, where her first two children were born, Lona and Terri. In 1956, she moved to Seattle, where two more daughters were born, Joy and Kellei. On August 31, 1974, she was married to Bobby "Bob" Deason in Wenatchee. They remained in Seattle until moving to Wenatchee the following summer. They have since continued to make Wenatchee their home. Bob owned and operated a landscaping business in the Wenatchee Valley; Pat often helped him with his jobs. She loved and lived for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild; they were her world. She especially enjoyed gardening, playing video games on her original Nintendo, the Weather channel and she loved her "Bulls", watching the PBR on the television every Saturday and Sunday. Her granddaughter found a quote that she felt described her perfectly, "The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye, but found by the heart." Her great-granddaughter said, "Over the years, we've grown and matured; you've made us strong and caring just like you. We'll miss that." Your strength has influenced us and will continue to throughout the years. Time will pass, but whenever we think of you, your strength will remind us to keep going. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bob Deason of Wenatchee; two daughters and one son-in-law, Joy Crawford of Wenatchee and Kellei and Jerry Turner of East Wenatchee; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Terri Burnett and Lona Sutton; one brother, James Wood; and one sister, Betty Jean "Jeanie" Glendenning. A Graveside Inurnment Service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park, with Chaplain Scott Langager officiating.
