Nova Lee Robins

Nova Lee Robins, 93, of Wenatchee, Washington went home to the Lord on January 9th, 2012. She was born May 11th 1918 in Oxford, Arkansas to Otis and Mattie Rowden. Nova was married to Cleo H Robins on March 20th, 1946 in Melbourne, Arkansas. Nova worked as a schoolteacher in Arkansas. After settling in Wenatchee in 1951, she worked in the agricultural industry, and then later worked as a retail associate for Robinson's through retirement. Nova was an avid bowler and was a member of several bowling leagues. Nova and family spent many summers skiing at Lake Chelan and enjoying the outdoors. Surviving family members cherish memories of Christmas, home-made apricot pies, and the best Green Beans known to man. She cherished her family and the time spent with them. Mom, the circle will be unbroken. Love you, Edd. Grandma, some of my best memories are helping you in the garden, picnics at Lake Chelan, ganging up on Grandpa, bowling, your infectious laugh, and how you couldn't stand to be tickled. You were a fun, wonderful Grandmother. Love, Kerri. My "Nana", I love you and miss you. I will always cherish our grilled cheese sandwich lunches together. We are connected in a way that is hard to explain. Although you are gone from our sight, we feel you, you are right here with me. All my Love, All my Life, Betsy. Grandma, I will always remember our weekends during youth bowling, your care packages in college, and the unquestionable love that you showed for your family. I love you, Joe My Grandma, she was a fireball. I will always remember how you were a person with an incredible wit and the maternal instinct of a mountain lion. You will be missed. You've gone to heaven, to be in that place of endless love, to be an angel watching over us. It was a privilege to know you in life and is an honor to cherish your memory in death. Love you, Cody. Grandma, I remember coming over to your house as a child with my brothers and playing Yahtzee, eating peaches over ice cream and waking up to the most amazing breakfasts. Love you, Luke. My "Nana", I will never forget those Monday mornings when I'd come over, and you would always make my favorite, biscuits and honey, and turkey bacon. You would always forget what time to take me to school, and being my age, I didn't always remember either. But that is still one of my favorite memories with you. She is survived by her husband, Cleo Robins of Wenatchee, son Edd Robins of Wenatchee, Grandchildren Kerri Sheehan of Edmonds, WA, Betsy Dillard (Shane) of Wenatchee, Joe Robins (Beth) of Wenatchee, Cody Robins of Wenatchee, Luke Robins of Tacoma, WA, Great-Grandchildren Taylor Henderson of Wenatchee, Kels Sheehan of Edmonds, WA, and Coen Dillard of Wenatchee, Sisters Betty (Don) Cochran of Lee's Summit, MO, Virginia Brewer of Ozark, MO, and brother Jack Rowden of Salem, AK, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Mattie Rowden, her brother Paul Rowden, and her sister Evelyn King. Memorial Services will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, Wenatchee on Saturday January 14th 2012 at 3 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel.
