Margie Lou Cumbie

Margie Lou Cumbie, 81, of East Wenatchee, a former Dover, Arkansas resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Columbia View Terrace Adult Family Home in East Wenatchee. She was born on July 27, 1930 at Saint Paul, Arkansas to the late William and Margaret (Young) Minyard. She was raised and received her schooling in Arkansas. During W.W.II, She moved to Oakland, California, where she worked as a Telephone Operator. She was married to Richard Hoard from 1946 through 1951. She was married to Herbert "Ike" Isaacs from 1952 through 1972. They made their home together in San Diego, California, where she worked as an Exchange Clerk for the Civil Service. In 1958, they moved to Jacksonville, Florida where they remained until moving to Norfolk, Virginia. In 1962, they returned to the San Diego area and made their home in Chula Vista. She worked as a Seamstress for Ratners Clothing Factory. She met Howard "Vince" Vincent and they were married from 1981 through 1984. In the mid 1980's, she moved to Dover, Arkansas. There, she met and married James Cumbie in 2004. She remained in Arkansas until moving to East Wenatchee in March of this year, where her daughter was able to take care of her. She loved to travel, liked jewelry and collecting Religious Artifacts. She was a devout Southern Baptist that was devoted to the service of the Lord. She had taught Sunday School and sang in church choirs. She is survived by her domiciled husband, James Cumbie, Cabot, Arkansas; two daughters and son's-in-law, Sharon & Terry Richmond, East Wenatchee and Wanda & Charles "Chuck" Ketchum, Tonopah, Arizona; one step-daughter, Beverly Dennis, Cabot, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby & Reba Young, Nashville, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Timothy "Tim" Richmond, East Wenatchee, Elizabeth "Liz" Hawks, Auburn, WA, Regina Moore and Caprice West both of Avondale, AZ; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael Isaacs in 1976, one sister, Mandora Epperson and two brothers, William "Billy" Minyard and Winifred Minyard. A Commemoration Service will be held on Tuesday, June 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Memorial Chapel, 19 Rock Island Road, East Wenatchee, with Pastor Mick Marquardt officiating.
