Marcellee Fay Sparks-Sepulveda

Marcelee "Marcie" Sparks-Sepulveda, 70, of East Wenatchee, a Wenatchee Valley resident foro ver 40 years, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Central Washington Hospital. She was born on August 25, 1945 in Omak, Washington to the late Marion and Blanch (McVay) Sparks. As a young child, Marcellee and her family made a number of moves that included Chelan where she attended Kindergarten and first grade. In the spring of 1952, they moved to Springfield, Oregon, where she finished her schooling. She moved to Compton, California in 1968 and while living there, she met and was later married to Clemente Garcia in 1973. They moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1975 and on to Wenatchee in 1978. She went to work at the Tree Top plant on the Highway to Entiat. She worked several positions including in the Dehydrator and Refrigeration Storage. During her time working for Tree Top, she also became a part time Private In Home Care Giver. This was a trait her mother had taught her when she was 15 years old, helping care for the patrons they had in their home. She retired from her job at Tree Top after 17 years and became a full time Care Giver. She was married to Jose Sepulveda on December 23, 1995 in Wenatchee. They have since made their home in East Wenatchee. She went to work in the local nursing homes prior to working for COPES, Hospice on occasions and for Aging and Adult Care as well as private care at their home. Marcellee worked caring for others until her passing. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed her yard with the pretty fruit trees, her cars and her animals. She is survived by her husband, Jose "Juan" Sepulveda, East Wenatchee; daughter, Pauline Garcia, East Wenatchee; two sons, John Garcia, Wenatchee and Juanito Sepulveda, East Wenatchee; sister and brother-in-law, Merrita & Ed Marks, Springfield, OR; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Mossco Mullins, Schurz, NV and Marion "Carl" & Kay Sparks, DeMoines, WA and Marvin LeRoy Sparks, Springfield, OR; seven grandchildren, Cory, Keisa, JoJo, Sam, Bradley, Shelby and Abel; three great grandchildren, Bella, Sophia and Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clemente Garcia Sr., her son Clemente "Paco" Garcia Jr. and her sister Merdeana Sparks. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the family home, 3320 N.W. Cascade Ave., East Wenatchee.
