Keith Roe

Keith Ray Roe November 19, 1960- June 6th, 2024 It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Keith R. Roe, who left us on June 6th, 2024, at the young age of 63. This was following a short and unexpected 9-day battle with late-stage metastatic cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Born in Seattle, WA on November 19th, 1960, to Anna J. Chestnut and Ray M. Roe. Keith moved to the beautiful Methow Valley at the age of 18 to get away from city life and enjoy the outdoors, which included his love for fishing. Keith met his now former wife Kimon and they raised their two beautiful daughters Rebecca and Dana. Keith worked in Law Enforcement for 25 years, the last 10 years as chief of police. He moved on to Fish and Wildlife for about 8 years and for the last 10 years he was in management at North 40 Outfitters. Keith was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting (turkey hunting was his favorite), and going on adventures with his dog, Winston. His favorite pastime was fly tying. He would spend hours meticulously perfecting every fly. His house was filled with every color and pattern of feathers, beads, and hooks. Keith inspired so many fellow fishermen and was seen as a mentor. His two daughters and his five granddaughters were his pride and joy and he spent as much time with them as he could. Keith is survived by his former wife of 32 years and mother of his children Kimon. His daughters Rebecca and Dana and granddaughters Skyler, Elena, McKenzie, Paislee, and Charleigh. As well as his siblings Valorie and Bill. While we lost our most beloved dad, so many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at sarcastic humor and had immense wisdom. There was so much more to him than just a dad, though to us this was his greatest role, he was also a friend, coworker and colleague, a brother, stand- in paternal figure to the fatherless and the list goes on. Once you were marked as important to Keith, he would be by your side if you needed him. A loving soul that was taken far too soon. A celebration of life will be held later this summer.
