David Lamar Scott

David Lamar Scott, 49, of Wenatchee, WA was suddenly taken home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2020. David was born December 14, 1970 in Edmunds, WA to Donna L. Scott (Murray) of Wenatchee, WA and Walter M. Scott of Vancouver, WA. From his early childhood until his death David was a very loving, friendly, and helpful person. He was blessed with humility, sincerity, and the ability to start a conversation with anyone he was around no matter what their lot was in life. He was also determined to work hard for what he wanted. His first job was a paper route which turned into three paper routes and by the time he was twelve years old he had saved up enough money to buy his first dirt bike. His passion for fast bikes and sports cars continued into adulthood. A natural daredevil, he had a strong sense of adventure leading him to climb the tallest of trees and reaching the highest speeds on his bicycle and then dirt bike while creating taller and taller ramps to catch the most air from! He spent his childhood exploring the mountains and nooks and crannies of the Seattle area and Wenatchee Valley with friends Jack and Burt and continued to develop his strong work ethic and ingenuity through various odd jobs. David entered his 20's by welcoming his only child Tiffany Leanna Scott, whom he loved very much, never did she leave his thoughts and heart. As a young man David placed the same determination and passion into his work as he did his adventures. The industrious side of him shined during his years with Boeing when he helped build one of the stealth bombers (B-2 Spirit of Washington). He was with the Laborers Union in the Seattle area and spent a rough season on a crabbing boat in Alaska's Dutch harbor. He was excellent with his hands and thought outside of the box. Whatever job was placed in front of him, he knew the most efficient way to get it done, conventional or not. In later years David became less able to demonstrate his talents as he had many demons to battle. He did, however, draw closer to his Savior Jesus Christ and though he lived on very little, he never lost his compassion for others and his desire to help in any way he could. David will be remembered not only for his kindness but also for the lively, unmatched sense of humor in which he made hilarious observations that could provoke uncontrollable laughter from the people that knew him best! David is survived by his parents listed above, daughter Tiffany L. Scott of Everett, WA, his two grandchildren Isaiah J. Burleson and Emily J. Berkebile. Sisters Elizabeth A. Scott of Seattle, WA, Lonnie J. Scott of Vancouver, WA, Amanda M. Azevedo and brother in-law Paul A. Azevedo of Wenatchee, WA. Nephews Zion T. and Ziare D. Black of Seattle, WA, David A. Azevedo and niece Monika M. Azevedo of Wenatchee, WA, along with aunts, uncles and cousins of Cashmere, WA and Utah.
