Daniel Alfred Posey

Daniel Alfred Posey, Jr. was born September 28, 1986 to Mary Schenk and Daniel Posey, Sr. in Jamaica Queens, New York. His death was a sudden and unfortunate loss. Daniel left his loved ones and was called home to the Lord on November 18, 2016. Daniel was an iconic hero to many, especially to his little brothers and sisters. Daniel was full of life, love and outstanding attributes. He was a very giving young man with many talents. Daniel was intelligent beyond his years and utilized the kindness of his heart to help others. He had a smile that would light up the room and a sense of humor that would leave a smile on anyone's face and keep them laughing. He always had a positive attitude in every situation. Daniel was the type of young man that through everything saw the best in each individual he came across. He was unwittingly good at games, especially if he is the one making up the rules to fall in his favor as you play. If you are ever missing a piece to a puzzle you can assure it is in his pocket. He always held the winning piece to everybody's heart. He had a very outgoing personality and loved to be outdoors and explore his surroundings. His favorite thing to do outdoors was fishing, especially with his Papa. Daniels humor came out by teasing his closest friends and family just to see them smile. He would go above and beyond to light up someone's day. Daniel loved to run. His brothers and sister would say he was "as fast as the wind". He loved computers and electronics. It was was his favorite way to geek out. He loved football and music. One of his favorite songs was "The Curse" from Rigoletto, which he would sing beautifully. When he was younger he would spend hours reading and playing the violin. Some of his favorite books were "I'll Love You Forever", "Goosebumps" and "Where The Wild Things Are". As there are many, many, things that we can all say we love and will always remember Daniel by, the one thing that we will forever carry in our hearts is his enchanting smile. He is survived by his wife, Laura Posey of Wenatchee. His mother and step father Mary and Jeffery Eggers of Wenatchee. His father Daniel Posey, Sr. of New Jersey, his grandparents Ronald and Joan Schenk of Yakima. Daniel is also survived by his siblings Elizabeth and Isaiah Posey, Christopher Andrews of Washington, as well as Kimberly and Cameron Posey of New Jersey. He also leaves behind his young son Daniel Posey III of Oklahoma. As well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom Daniel claimed secretly to each that they were his favorite. There will be a celebration of life in the spring because that was his favorite time of year, when everything becomes brand new.
