Charles "Chuck" Reynolds

Charles Jacob Reynolds was born to Jacob Guy and Mertie Debbie Elizabeth Beckham Reynolds on January 21, 1932, in Sterling, Colorado, where he was the 5th of 7 children. They moved to Wapato when Chuck was 12 years old, and a dairy farm was purchased. He started at this time helping the family with the milking of cows and managing of the farm. It was during this time in his life, he became proficient riding his horse Dot while using his bullwhip to kill rattle snakes. It was told he brought many snakes home to his Mom as a gift. He graduated from Wapato High School in 1950. Chuck met Patricia Luffman in June of 1952 and married on December 30, 1952, lasting 73 years before his beloved wife, Pat, passed away in September of 2015. During their marriage, they produced 5 children: Debbie, Rick, Doug, Sandy, and Mike. They were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. As an adult, he began his career with Safeway, where he was transferred to Leavenworth in 1961, where the family remained in the Valley until his death. Chuck had many abilities and skills throughout his adult career, including working with Jewel Satterfield Construction and as a mechanic for GMC Auto, starting with Bud Westby and retiring as Shop Foreman for Gangster Motors. Seeking to keep busy, he took a job as a gas attendant until he truly retired at 83 and moved to Mountain Meadows Assisted Living in Leavenworth. Here, he and Pat received excellent care from the loving care of the staff until their passings. His Greatest purpose and mission in life, besides being an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather, was his Service to God. Chuck was a member of The Community of Christ Church and served as Pastor for many years as an Evangelist for the world Church. Chuck always saw the good in all and always showed love and acceptance in all he came in contact with. Many commented how he always made them feel special and loved when around him. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, his parents, his brothers, Wayne, Leon, Dale, and sister, Neva, and son-in-law, Jim Hawkes. He is survived by his Daughter, Debbie Noel and Spouse, Alan, and Daughter Caryn Dieker Son, Rick and spouse, Deanna and sons Robert, spouse Melanie, and Jeff, spouse Jessica Son, Doug and spouse Kathy, and Daughter Julie Daughter Sandy Hawkes Son, Mike and sons Ryan, spouse,C hankoda Kyle ,spouse Tiina Daughter Jenna and spouse Michael One of his greatest joys later in life was his 11 great-grandchildren, Anthony and Camryn Trick Gabby, Mallorie, and Callie Reynolds Avery and Brooklyn Reynolds Alyssa Reynolds, Kaleb Reynolds, Lucas Hogan and newest arrival, Iris Reynolds A Celebration of life will be Saturday, May 10th at 11:00 AM at the Community of Christ Church 690 N. Baker ST. East Wenatchee WA Lunch will be provided following the Service
