Charles Robert Boddeker

Charles Robert "Chas" Boddeker II, 38, a 26 year Wenatchee area resident, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Central Washington Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born on January 16, 1975 at Yakima, Washington to Matthew Charles and Zelma Jean (Carter) Boddeker. They make a brief move to Benton City before moving to Kennewick. In October of 1977, they moved to Boise, Idaho and in December of the following year, they returned to the Tri-Cities, settling in Kennewick. Since his Grandfather was a teacher in Benton City, Chas began his schooling there. They moved to Wenatchee in June of 1983 and later settled into East Wenatchee. Chas attended Kenroy Elementary School, Sterling Middle School, Eastmont Jr. High School and Eastmont High School. Following high school, he went to work as a painter for Michaelsons before taking a job in Umatila, Oregon at the Marlette Mobile Home Dealership. He moved to Seattle and worked at Pike Place Market for four years. He returned to make his Home in East Wenatchee and worked tending bar at the Red Lion, Minns and the Clearwater. He was his own man. He loved people, was a very social person and had a contagious laugh. He enjoyed flowers and gardening, going fishing, collecting guitars, old school nostalgia and his project cars. Charles is survived by his father, Matthew "Matt" Boddeker, East Wenatchee; his mother, Jeannie Newkirk, East Wenatchee, seven children, Dustin Robert Boddeker, East Wenatchee, Ellen Marie Boddeker, Montrose, Colorado, identical twin sons, Derick and Dylan Boddeker, Wenatchee, Brittney Jo Sadie Boddeker, Wenatchee, Milytia Marcella Ann Boddeker and Lyric Lenora Irene Boddeker both of East Wenatchee; one step son, Drew Slocum, Wenatchee, WA; his paternal grandfather, Charles Robert Boddeker I, Umatilla, Oregon; his maternal grandmother, Dolores Irene Carter, Omak, WA; one brother, Justin W. Boddeker, Umatilla, Oregon and his niece, Sheana Ratcliff, Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by a stillborn infant sister, Jeannie Marie Boddeker, his paternal grandmother, Ellen Marie Boddeker and his maternal grandfather, William F. Carter.
